Halloween in Cambridge falls on a Saturday: Zombie Fest 9 at the Junction from £40 (18+), Milton pumpkin patch to 31 Oct, a free Addams Family film.

Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, at the end of October half term. In Cambridge that means one big adult night, Zombie Fest 9 at Cambridge Junction, and a spread of family options through the week. Everything below comes from the organisers’ own pages, checked on 28 September 2026.

Zombie Fest 9, Cambridge Junction

Zombie Fest bills itself as East Anglia’s biggest indoor Halloween festival, and this is its ninth year. It takes over the Junction’s J1, J2 and J3 and the car park for six music stages and, it says, more than 70 acts: house, drum and bass, jungle, trance, garage, hardstyle and 90s and 00s classics, plus fire breathers, stilt walkers and a fancy dress prize.

  • Times: main event 3pm to 11pm. The official afterparty, AFTERLIFE, runs 11.30pm to 3am and is ticketed separately.
  • Tickets (via Skiddle): General Admission £40 plus fee (£44.25 all in), the R.I.P ticket with a private bar and seating £60 plus fee (£66.25), a four-for-three bundle at £120 plus fee (£132.25), and an afterparty bolt-on at £20 plus fee (£22.25), which only works with a main event ticket. Phase 3 and the R.I.P early bird have sold out.
  • Rules: strictly 18+ with valid photo ID, no exceptions, and no re-entry once you leave.

The line-up page lists confirmed artists as they are announced; more names are still to come.

Getting there. The organisers point out that Cambridge station is under ten minutes’ walk from the Junction: turn right out of the station and follow Clifton Way. The Cambridge Leisure multi-storey is next door and open late; parking on Clifton Way itself is very limited. Last buses are reduced late at night, so check yours before you go. For families

Milton Maze Pumpkin Patch. Rectory Farm on the A10 Milton bypass (CB24 6AE) opens its patch on 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 October, then every day from 24 to 31 October, its website says. Tickets are pre-booked for an hour-long arrival window and you can stay until 4pm (last entry 3.30pm). Entry covers the Field of Fun and two daily Halloween shows; pumpkins are extra, from 75p for small gourds and £1 to £10 for orange pumpkins, with a few giant ones at £20. Entry and pumpkin prices are held at 2025 rates. It is not a scare event, dogs are not allowed, and there is parking for more than 300 cars. You can also buy a pumpkin from the farm shop courtyard without an entry ticket.

Free Halloween film. The Cambridge Film Festival’s free Family Film Festival shows Addams Family Values on Saturday 31 October at 11am at the Arts Picturehouse, a relaxed screening with the lights low and the volume down, and crafts in the cinema restaurant an hour before, according to the festival. Halloween punting. The Traditional Punting Company adds a Halloween scavenger hunt and activity booklet to its shared or private 50-minute punt tours from 24 October to 1 November, for an extra £2.50 per child, its page says. Part of the hunt is on the river and part around the city centre, and finishing it earns sweets.

Folklore at the Museum of Cambridge. Not a Halloween event as such, but a timely one: the museum’s Folklore exhibition opens on 16 October, with witch bottles and moles’ paws from the collection of its former curator, the folklorist Enid Porter. Adults £7.70, children 16 and under free. The museum is on the corner of Castle Street and Northampton Street.

The Fitzwilliam Museum’s monthly Crafternoon on Saturday 31 October, noon to 2pm, is themed “Telling a Myth at Halloween”: you invent a myth and turn it into artwork inspired by the Greek Gallery. It is for adults (18+) and costs £15, free for Fitz List members, per the listing.
